A national think-tank is favouring Bombardier’s light rail transit over extending Toronto’s subway line.
The light rail cars would be built in Thunder Bay and would provide a needed boost to the Northern economy.
Pembina Institute is out with a new study which shows that Toronto will get more bang for its buck by moving forward with the Bombardier plan.
Author Cherise Burda says the report says the four L-R-T projects would deliver more than twice as much service for every dollar invested than the proposed subway extension.
Burda says she hopes Rob Ford heeds the advice in the report.
