A day of ice fishing on Lake of the Woods turned out to be quite an
ordeal for a 65-year-old Selkirk, Manitoba man.
The angler had set up a hut near Buffalo Point Friday, but the piece
of ice he was on broke free from shore and started floating away.
Emergency personnel managed to rescue the stranded fisherman 7 hours
later.
Police say the man didn’t seem overly concerned and
continued to fish while waiting to be rescued.
