The Town of Fort Frances has hired an interim full-time firefighter.
Fire Chief Steve Richardson notes the individual is set to start work on September 5th for a four-month term position.
Richardson says the hiring will allow the fire department to cut down on recent overtime hours.
Despite this latest move, town council intends to reduce full-time firefighting ranks from what was 10 members to eventually 8.
