A number of local groups are teaming up to continue the battle against invasive species in Northwestern Ontario.
A student has been hired this summer to raise awareness of critters such as the spiney water flea, rainbow smelt and the rusty crawfish.
Elauna Boutwell is an invasive species technician and says she’s being touring the region to talk to local anglers.
She says they are reaching out to as many people as they can to raise awareness.
