The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is sending another investigator to Kenora to help determine what caused a fire that destroyed two buildings on Matheson Street.
Fire Chief Kent Readman says they are helping out along with Provincial Police.
The blaze destroyed the Hungry Pug Restaurant early Tuesday morning, along with several apartments.
Readman says the cause of the fire still hasn’t been identified yet.
There were also a couple of other small fires yesterday morning in the community that were likely caused by arson.
In the meantime, a Go Fund Me Page for the popular breakfast eatery has already been started.
In less than 24 hours over $25,000 has been raised on the social media website.
The goal is $50,000.
