The House of Commons returned from its Christmas break today, and the MP of the Kenora riding says they will begin to tackle a number of issues.
Greg Rickford, who is Parliamentary Secretary for Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development, says one of the main priorities is financial transparency and accountability for First Nations leadership.
Rickford says they will also continue to work on Canada’s Economic Action plan for this year, as well as the Ring of Fire.
In regards to Northwestern Ontario, Rickford feels that the recent appointment of Dryden resident Lynn Beyak to the Senate is a step in the right direction.
