James Hill Sr.

In Loving Memory of Mr. Jim (James Norman ) Hill. Jim was born on August 31, 1941 in Eagle River, Ontario. During the early 60’s he was employed by the Canadian Pacific Railway. Subsequently, he worked for both the Dryden Paper Co., and Great Lakes Forest Products as a slasher operator. Jim worked there until he was injured in the 80’s. He had a variety of past times which included gardening, repairing anything that needed fixing, watching old western movies, and listening to old time Country Music. Spending time with family and friends was also very important to Jim, and he treasured those times very much. Mr Hill is survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Also surviving him are his daughter Elaine (Bill) Parker, (Minnitaki), son Don (Yvonne) Hill (Dinorwic), and daughter Shirley (Micheal) Klimczak (Chicago, Ill.), Mourning his loss also are his dear grandchildren, Shannon, Deanna, Jennifer, Josh and Conan. He adored each and everyone of them. Jim was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, two sisters, and his son Jimmy(James Eugene David). He passed away March 27, 2002 and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Pallbearers were Art Danielson, Philip Pollard, Don Pitchenese, Randy Erickson, Howard Hill, and Larry Danielson.
Visitation was held on Monday April 1, 2002 from 3-8:30 at the Dryden Community Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday April 2, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home, with Mr. John Mulders officiating. Interment followed in the Eagle River Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke or Northern Cancer Research through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON P8N 2X3
