Jane Marie Price

Jane Marie Price

Suddenly and unexpectedly on December 3rd, 2010 Jane Marie Price passed away at Dryden Regional Health Centre with family at her side.

Born on May 3rd, 1960 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the youngest of five children, she was raised and educated in Kirkland Lake, finally residing in Ignace.

She enjoyed fishing and hunting and just nature itself, her roses in the spring and the colours in the fall, thunderstorms and rainbows, and a quiet snowfall. Jane’s life was her children, proud of each and every one of them, and her grandchildren. She tolerated her partner’s pets, but she had a special place in her heart that really loved them. They made her laugh when she woke in the morning and when she retired at night. They know something is not right when “Momma” has not come home for so long; strange how animals know. Target, her “Pup Pup” she called him, is such a special dog who lived for her love and that certain attention only Jane could give to him.

Jane also loved her job, the many local and repeat customers who, when they were having a “bad day”, she tried to put a smile on their faces or make a comment to pick them up.

Jane is survived by her partner in life of 22 years, Brian Hearsey; her daughter Danika Marie Leslie Hearsey-Price; her sons David (Krista), Bruce (Lori Lynn) and Vincent Zapora; and grandchildren Ashton, Adrian, Cooper, Morgan, Shaia and Paityn. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaurite, Price (nee Dever) in 1992.

Jane is also survived by many other relatives in Canada and the U.S.A.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Funeral Service to celebrate Jane’s life was held on December 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Anglican/United Church, the Rev. Jeanne Bryan officiating.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mary Berglund Community Health Centre and Dryden Regional Health Centre for all your compassion and caring for Mom, Jane in this difficult time.
