Jerry Fisher NWOTA #2

The President of the Northwestern Ontario Tourism

Association says the number of border crossings has

slightly increased this year.

However, Jerry Fisher adds camp outfitters have been

telling him they’ve seen a decrease in visitors.

Fisher says more marketing needs to be done through the

Ministry of Tourism’s, Ontario Tourism Marketing

Partnership Corporation.

Q:”…past.” 22 seconds

Fisher says high gas prices, issues at the border, and a

high Canadian Dollar continue to be some of the issues

plaguing the tourism industry.
