John Cummings Leaving Dryden At End Of Month

The City of Dryden will be losing its Treasurer and acting Chief Administrative Officer on November 27th.

That’s the last day of work for John Cummings who believes he has set the groundwork for success moving forward.

Cummings notes he’s worked closely with the Finance Committee and believes the tools are now in place to help the community rebound.

He says they are going down the right path and believes they won’t slide backwards.

Cummings notes for the first time they have a 10-year capital plan and a vision on future infrastructure needs.

He notes the City isn’t spending enough on capital and now a strategy is in place to determine needs and how to pay for upgrades.

Cummings says he enjoyed his time in Dryden and it was an honour to serve the community.

He believes he’s leaving on good terms and notes he’s returning to southwestern Ontario to be with his family and fiance.
