In loving memory of John LaForrest, age 89 years, who died peacefully in the Dryden Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, June 24, 2009.
John is survived by his sons, Wayne of Sault Ste. Marie and Cal of Dryden, his daughter Verna LaFrance of Winnipeg, by 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, his sisters: Jean Robinson; Lila Haukeness; Mildred Lundstrom; Doris Davis; and Nora Hill; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27th at 1pm in the Moffat Chapel of the Stevens Funeral Homes with Legion Chaplain Doug Whightman officiating. Branch #63 of the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Veteran’s Memorial Service. Interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Friday, from 6 to 8pm, with a Masonic Memorial Service to be conducted at 7pm in the Stevens Funeral Homes Moffat Chapel.
