John Roberts

In loving memory of John Wayne Roberts, age 70, who passed away peacefully at his residence in Saskatoon, SK on Tuesday, December 10, 2013.

Wayne is predeceased by his parents John and Mae Roberts. He is survived by wife Pam of Saskatoon, SK; two sons, JD, of Regina, SK, Chris and his future wife Claire, of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Lynda (Bob) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and brothers, Bill (Donna), Ken (Carol) and Keith (Annemarie) all of Dryden, ON; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Wayne was born February 18, 1943 in Dryden, ON and was raised there. After completing high school he was employed by Alex Wilson Publications as a reporter for the Dryden Observer. Moving to Swift Current, SK Wayne worked for the Swift Current Sun where he met Pam, and they were subsequently married. Throughout his career as writer and editor in the publishing industry Wayne, and Pam, travelled to various locations before settling in Saskatoon where Wayne was employed by the Saskatoon Star Phoenix until retirement. They were blessed by the birth of their two sons and watched them grow into successful young men.

In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
