The 2006 Dryden Joint Accessibility Plan has been submitted to the City
and the Handicapped Association.
The report indicates a number of barriers have been removed thanks to
renovations at the Police Building and Provincial Offences Office as well as work in the downtown core.
Clerk Colleen Brosseau says the next step is to work with the public and city
emloyees to address remaining barriers.
Brosseau says another highlight is the purchase of a new handi-transit
bus.
6,000 people used the bus service last year.
