June Was Warm and Dry

Traditionally, the month of June is the wettest of the year in
Northwestern Ontario, but not this year.
According to Environment Canada, most communities had 30 to 40
millimeters less than they are used to.
Meteorologist Sandy Radecki says Red Lake set a record for the driest June on record with
only 31-millimetres of rain.
She adds the average temperature was 1 or 2 degrees above normal across the Region in
June.
