Junior Hockey Coming To Kenora

Junior hockey will be coming to Kenora, but just for one night.

As part of Hockey Day in Canada Celebrations, Kenora will be playing host to a game between the English River Miners and the Fort Frances Lakers on February 18th.

Dan Reynard is co-chair of the organizing committee and says it will be a fitting end to a great week.

Reynard says both the organizing committee of Hockey Day in Canada and the SIJHL are excited about the opportunity.

Kenora will be represented on the ice as well as Cameron Novak is with the Miners and Jake Bernie is with the Lakers.

Reynard says they also expect to have Don Cherry and Ron McLean on hand for Coaches Corner during the hockey game.

He calls the game a great opportunity to showcase junior hockey in the community.
