Ear Falls Mayor Kevin Kahoot has returned home from Vienna after sharing his experiences on nuclear waste programs.
Kahoot was representing the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and he spoke at the International Atomic Energy Association meeting.
Ear Falls pulled out of the site selection process for an underground nuclear repository a few years ago, but Kahoot says he learned a lot about his own community during the process.
Kahoot also mentions he will be monitoring developments for a repository in Ignace very closely.
He mentions it was an honour to represent the region and learn more about the experiences of other countries and communities.
