Kam River Extends Bill Salonen Cup Final

A four goal outburst, including three in the final frame, has kept the Kam River Fighting Walleye in the SIJHL Final.

The Red Lake Miners held a 5-3 lead late into the second period when the Fighting Walleye offence came alive to win 7-5 and force a Game 6 Saturday in Cochenour.

Brady Harroun led the Miners attack with three goals, while Ryan Hunter and Jake Parker added singles.

Kam River outshot Red Lake 46-40 and the Fighting Walleye fired 17 shots on Kiev Kineshanko in the third period alone.
