Kamala Harris First Female Vice-President In U.S. History

It’s a big day in the United States.

Joe Biden is the oldest President-elect in history and Kamala Harris will be the next Vice-President.

The Democrats won in Pennsylvania which means they have 273 Electoral College votes.

270 was the number they needed to take office.

Harris is the first female, first Black and first South Asian vice president-elect in U.S history.

Harris says “this election is about so much more than Joe Biden or me. It’s about the soul of America and our willingness to fight for it.”

She says “we have a lot of work ahead of us. Let’s get started.”
