The Kenora District Services Board says it’s working to bring high-speed internet service to more houses in the region.
The KDSB says it will be working with FSET in Kenora and SpaceX’s Starlink to provide the service.
There are two programs residents can take advantage of.
If you are already a customer of Starlink, the board will retroactively reimburse you for 75% of the cost of the equipment needed to get the service.
The deadline for the rebate is August 31.
There is also a program available for individuals and families who are already are existing KDSB clients who are deemed eligible for the high-speed service.
As many as 3,000 are expected to be connected through the program.
