Municipal costs to cover Child Care, Ontario Works, Social Housing, Land Ambulance and other services are dropping.
Dryden will see their share drop $561,000 to $1.4-million, while Sioux Lookout has dropped $290,000 to $808,000.
Red Lake will see their share fall $149,000 to $571,000, while Machin has dropped $83,000 to $255,000.
Ignace’s share falls $55,000 to $142,000, while Ear Falls will pay $41,000 less at $118,000.
Anne Krassilowsky is the Finance Chair of the Kenora District Services Board and says the unincorporated rate has increased 45% to 7.4-million.
Unincorporated members plan to introduce a Private Member’s Bill to resolve the issue when the Legislature resumes sitting.
