KDSB Faced With Child Care Deficit

The Kenora District Services Board is looking at a child care deficit.
The Board has had to adjust to a program aimed more at younger children, which costs more.
The KDSB has also seen less money from the provincial Government.
Diane Apland is the Director of Integrated Social Services and says they are in a transition stage.
Apland says child care centres in the region will now be geared more towards toddler and infant spaces.
She notes the board has been given a 4-year window to reorganize.
