The Kenora District Services Board is trying to limit the expansion of
commercial childcare centres.
The Board has agreed to no longer free up public funds for private-big box
childcare operations who move into the district.
Director of Childcare Diane Apland says the 2-existing private centres
will not be impacted.

funding as long as they remain under their current ownership and meet the
