KDSB Out With New Strategic Plan

With a new Chief Administrative Officer and Board of Directors in place, the Kenora District Services Board now has a new vision.
The board has approved a four year strategic plan.
KDSB Chair Barry Baltessen says drafting the plan was a team effort between the Board, employees and those who use KDSB services.
It identifies 21-strategic objectives and 86% of them will require ground work to get going.
Indicators identified in the plan deal with monitoring finances, services and the organization as a whole.
The strategy also includes an operational review and ensuring employees are available to deliver the appropriate services on a day-to-day basis.
The new mission statement is “dedicated to improving lives” and the KDSB promise is to “provide help and support when you need it.”
The vision statement is “With forward thinking and engaged employees we achieve consistent service and better outcomes.”
The core values are “People First. Respect and Compassion, Collaboration, Fostering Trust and Promoting Safety and Efficiency”
