The Kenora District Services Board has finalized a deal to purchase the Dryden Children’s Resource Centre on Albert Street.
City Council approved the agreement last week.
The centre is licensed for a total of 95 child care spaces and the KDSB says it intends to take advantage of the buildings design, space and intended purpose.
Officials note there will also be an opportunity for community partnerships to create additional supports and services beyond early years’ programming.
The KDSB says with the purchase of the building, they will be better able to support the delivery and expansion of child care spaces and early years’ programming to families and children in a centralized location.
