The Kenora District Services Board is about to launch its long awaited 10-year housing and homelessness plan.
Chair Barry Baltessen says public meetings should be starting this month.
Meetings will be held in each community the KDSB serves and officials will be looking for input on the current shortage of affordable housing units as well as the homelessness issue.
Baltessen says they will also be meeting with service groups and members of the unincorporated area.
A draft plan is expected to be presented to the Board in September.
