The Kenora District Services Board says it needs more clarity on what their roles and responsibilities are.
That’s why the KDSB is welcoming a provincial review of the Services Board Act.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says the Act should still respect governance and transparency, however stresses changes are needed.
Barry Baltessen is the Chair of the Kenora District Services Board and he is welcoming the move as well stating there is currently too much government red tape and they need more clarity on roles and responsibilities.
Wall says the government plans to personally meet with KDSB members and municipalities to gather feedback.
