Two men are in custody following an early morning assault in downtown Kenora.
At 3:30 this morning, a witness reported seeing two men drag an unconscious man into the brush near a parking lot on Third Street South.
Kenora Police Officers located the victim who was conscious, lying in the brush.
The two men involved in the attack were also located in the area.
The victim was taken to the Lake of The Woods District Hospital and was later transported to Winnipeg for treatment of serious head injuries.
One of the suspects has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Probation. The second has been charged with Breach of Undertaking.
Both suspects are being held in custody pending court appearances.
Investigation is continuing and police are awaiting the results of forensic testing.
