A heads up if you need to use the by-pass.
It’s currently closed in both directions just west of Highway 596 due to rocks blocking both lanes.
The closure is leading to an increase in traffic throughout the city as well.
The by-pass was first closed around 11:14 am Thursday morning, and at this point there is no indication as to when the route will re-open.
Crews have been blasting the rock face in the area recently.
