A good news, bad news sort of budget for the Kenora Catholic District School Board, which oversees operations at St. John School in Red Lake.
Trustees have approved $28-million in spending for next school year, with an anticipated surplus of roughly $70,000.
The Board is set to receive about $1.2-million more from the province next school year.
Director of Education Phylis Eikre says on the other hand, they are expecting a decrease in enrolment.
Eikre says they are anticipating to be down about 60-students.
However, she stresses the drop isn’t alarming and notes they always predict on the low end of the scale.
