Kenora Council Approves 2013 Budget

Kenora Council has officially adopted the 2013 municipal budget.
Only Councillor Louis Roussin voted against the spending estimates.
Mayor Dave Canfield admits he too has some reservations about the budget, but says a 1% decrease in the mill rate was the best they could do.
Canfield says he’s worried that because of increased property assessments, some homeowners could be facing a tax increase of as much as 10% over the next four years.
