Kenora Forest Products to expand

Kenora Forest Products says the Ontario Government’s latest forestry aid package will help them with the plans to expand.

Rod McKay is the mill manager and says by taking over responsibility for forest access roads and reducing stumpage fees, they will save about three dollars a cubic meter on wood delivered to their mill.

N008 Q: …a bit. (12 secs.)

McKay says they are still waiting to find out if they will be given the sustainable forestry licence for the Whiskey Jack Forest, which is also a key part of the expansion plans.
