Kenora Man Charged With Impaired Boating

It doesn’t pay to get behind the wheel when you have been drinking even when you’re on the water.

A 27 year old Kenora man has been charged with impaired boating after being pulled over by police on Laurenson’s Lake.

The OPP says they tried to stop the vessel on Safety Bay.

Officers later located the boat on Laurenson’s Lake and determined the drive had been drinking.

Steven Halverson has not only been charged with impaired operation, but also dangerous operation of a vessel and flight from police.

He’s due to appear in Kenora Court on September 10th.
