Kenora Man Fined For Hunting Violation In Dryden District

A Kenora man has been fined $3,500 for the careless discharge of a firearm.

Alexander Bowlin pleaded guilty and was fined for firing a high-powered rifle at a moose decoy on a road north of Dryden last October.

Conservation officers set up the decoy in response to reports of moose being shot on roads in the Rail Bed Road and April Lake Road area.

Bowlin has been banned from hunting for three years.
