Kenora Man Killed In Manitoba Crash

One man is dead and another has been seriously injured following a head-on collision on the Trans-Canada Highway Sunday in the Whiteshell area, just west of the Manitoba boundary.

Both men are from Kenora and no names are being released.

Falcon Lake RCMP say ice played a factor when a west-bound pickup crossed the median and struck an east-bound truck head on.

The driver of the east-bound vehicle, a 29-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver, a 37-year-old, was transported to hospital.

There were no other occupants in either vehicle, and the investigation is ongoing.
