Kenora MP Roger Valley says the unity shown last week at the ‘National Day
of Action’ shows a strategy is needed to save the forest sector.
Rally’s were held in several communities including Dryden and Kenora.
Valley attended the Ottawa gathering and says a number of concerned
groups and individuals demanded action.
Valley says the Liberals introduced a $1.4-billion program for
the forest sector before the Federal election but admits that plan needs to
be expanded.
He says it critical that the Federal Government consult with
Provincial leaders to draft a concerete plan.
