The MP for the Kenora Riding says he’s glad to see movement on one of his key campaign promises.
Bob Nault says it’s good news the provincial government has provided $2.5-million towards planning for an all-nations hospital in Kenora.
He says access to health care remains one of the critical issues for local residents.
Nault says he’s confident the federal government will come to the table with some funding for the facility, because it has jurisdiction over aboriginal health care.
Nault says the government also wants to make sure the Ontario/Manitoba boundary remains open for patients seeking treatment as close to home as possible.
