Kenora MP Greg Rickford is frustrated with the New Democrats for holding up passage of a back-to-work bill for Postal Workers.
Rickford says right now they are sitting around while debate continues on the Bill.
Rickford is predicting a long process.
Meantime, Rickford is apologizing to Dryden residents as we was scheduled to play and speak at tonight’s opening of the lighted Ball Diamonds.
The Federal Government was a major sponsor of the Light the Ball Diamonds project.
Rickford says he was looking forward to the event but must stay in Ottawa until the postal back-to-work dispute is resolved.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty says he can’t support the bill.
Rafferty admits there’s almost no chance of preventing the bill from passing, but its better the two sides in the dispute settle things at the negotiating table.
