A request made by NDP Leader Jack Layton to reconvene Parliament to
debate the softwood lumber agreement is not sitting well with the Kenora MP.
Roger Valley says its ironic that the NDP kicked the Grits out of
Ottawa and is now asking the Government to take the Liberal road and
continue litigations.
Valley says the softwood deal abandons Northern Ontario
Valley says the deal will cost us more jobs and he predicts we will be
back to square one in 3-more years because of an escape clause.
He suggests there’s little chance of Parliament being reconvened
before September.
