The MP for the Kenora Riding is pleased that no major changes are being proposed in northern Ontario by the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission.
The Commission has released its recommendations and suggests this region should keep all 10 of its seats in the House of Commons.
Greg Rickford says he’s relieved with the decision.
He says the Commission recognized that this is a vast region with a relatively small population.
Rickford says other than picking up Lake of the Woods Township, there won’t be much change for the Riding.
Public hearings will take place in Kenora on October 9th.
