The Parliamentary Assistant for Aboriginal Affairs is promising to address the recommendations contained in a recent report on Aboriginal Education.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says he met with the panel members earlier this week and says there’s a lot of information to digest.
Rickford says the Federal Government already spends a lot of money on aborignal schools, so its a matter of determining the best way on allocating the funding.
The panel travelled across the country last year and held a day of hearings on the Rat Portage First Nation in Northwestern Ontario.
Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan will not say if any measures will be included in the upcoming budget and he added time is tight.
