Kenora MP Responds to Bill C-309 Vote

Kenora MP Greg Rickford says a Private Members Bill to establish FedNor as a permanent regional economic development agency will do nothing but add an unnecessary level of bureaucracy to the system.
The Conservative member voted against Bill C-309 in the House of Commons this week.
Rickord says a stand-alone agency would add an incredible amount of bureaucratic spending and additional staff.
He stresses the Bill will never see the light of day, because it would require Royal recommendation.
