Kenora OPP Officer Pleads Guilty

A Provincial Police officer in Kenora has pleaded guilty to discreditable conduct under the Police Services Act.
Constable Troy Bender was initially charged in connection to the death of a 42-year-old Grassy Narrows woman in September of 2012.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving and fined $1,100.
So far the adjudicator in the case has not decided on a penalty.
Gloria Assin was in the back of a police cruiser when it crossed the intersection of Redditt Road and Highway 17-A, and was hit by a transport.
