The Kenora OPP have seized a large shipment of illegal cigarettes.
On Friday police stopped and inspected a vehicle on Highway 17A.
During the search 710 cartons of cigarettes valued at over 42 thousand dollars were seized.
As a result a 61-year-old man and 64-year-old woman from Emerson, Manitoba have been charged with possession of unmarked cigarettes for the purpose of sale and contrary to the tobacco taxes act.
