Kenora Taking Action On Nuisance Deer Problem

There has been little movement on the nuisance deer issue in Dryden, but Kenora continues to take action.

Council has approved new regulations including allowing for the use of archery equipment inside City limits during hunting season.

Firearm regulations have also been adjusted allowing an urban hunt on property larger then 5-acres.

Councillor Dan Reynard says even with the smaller property limit the hunt isn’t doing enough to control the urban deer population.

He says more work is needed to address the issue.
