Kenora Teen Charged for Impaired Boating

A 19-year-old Kenora man faces a number of charges after a boat capsized on Lake of the Woods over the weekend.
Early Sunday morning, OPP received a report that a small boat had flipped over on the south side of Treaty Island.
When officers arrived, they discovered there were 5-occupants in the boat, but all had made it safely back to shore.
Police say the driver of the boat had been drinking and he faces a charge of impaired operation of a vessel, and multiple violations under the shipping act.
