Regional communities wrestling with their budgets will have to wait a
little longer for the Kenora District Services Board.
The Board of Directors of the KDSB has defeated the 2006 budget that
called for a 2.8% increase to the municipal levy.
Kenora Councilor and KDSB Finance Chair Rory McMillan voted against the budget and says he followed a request from Council to follow a 0% hike.
McMillan says it’s unclear if a compromise can be reached.
