Kenora Mayor Stands Firm On Travel Order

City councillors in Kenora have been getting a number of nasty e-mails and letters from Manitoba cottagers demanding them to stay at home during COVID-19.

Mayor Dan Reynard stresses that’s the information being communicated by health officials and government on both sides of the border to mitigate the risks of coronavirus.

Reynard adds the prohibition on travel goes both ways, stressing local residents shouldn’t be heading west right now.

He notes “Every time we go into a place where there is the potential to come into contact, you also increase the risk of bringing it back.”

Reynard is asking everyone to respect the rules both ways.
