Dryden’s Kevin Raine has been named captain of the Sudbury Wolves.
The 20-year-old defenceman will anchor what is expected to be a strong Wolves team this year.
In an interview with the Sudbury Star, Raine says it’s an honour to be named captain and he’s looking forward to the opportunity.
Coach Paul Fixter says it was an easy choice.
Fixter says Raine has shown the leadership skills needed since he joined the team following a trade with the London Knights last season.
The Wolves open the Ontario Hockey League Season Friday against Sault Ste. Marie.
