A man who walked 700-kilometres to raise awareness of diabetes in First Nations communities has ended his trek.
Garry Sugarhead of Kingfisher Lake First Nation started the walk in Pickle Lake at the end of May and arrived in Thunder Bay Wednesday afternoon.
He is calling on Canada and Ontario to work with the Nishnawbe Aski Nation to provide more diabetes services for the north.
Sugarhead says the disease has had terrible impacts.
