The Kiwanis Club of Dryden will soon have a new place to call home!
Council is expected to approve next week a request from the group to locate their mobile club house in the field at Van Horne Landing for a five year period.
Kiwanis President Suzanne Joly says this will help them better serve the community.
Terms of the agreement still have to be worked out, but no problems are anticipated.
Both sides have agreed that the club house can be moved in the event of an emergency or if the City finds another use for the land.
Joly calls the site ideal and says they are anxious to work with other user groups on various community events.
She hopes to have the Kiwanis Club involved in the Tbaytel Walleye Masters.
The group has already taken the lead on organizing and hosting Canada Day activities and the Dryden Winter Festival.
